blurryoutoffocus said: Free T’s for Students! Please Reblog!

In response to the recent string of suicides and escalating bullying and harassment nationwide, NCLR (National Center for Lesbian Rights) is giving away free t-shirts to students. Simply email NCLR with your name, mailing address and size. No other questions will be asked, but they would like to know where you go to school and how old you are if you are able to share. Highschool GSA’s can get up to 10 shirts for just $5 each, again by simply emailing.

Thank you for posting/reblogging/reading this, and also for supporting GLBTQ* youth everywhere!

Out of the Darkness Walk

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention is hosting a series of “Out of the Darkness” walks across the country to benefit research, awareness, and prevention, and also to honor the memory of those who have been lost to suicide.  This organization fosters an LGBTQ initiative that funds several grants related to research on this issue and speaks out against anti-gay bullying.  The walk in Charleston is November 7, 2010 beginning at 2:00 pm at Hampton Park near the Citadel.  If you can, fundraising for this event would be phenomenal, but if not, we can at least make an effort to be there, participate, and show our support.
